Mavis taking a master class
Mavis takes great delight in teaching indeed it is one of the things she enjoys most of all.
She attributes her skills and development to her good grounding by her mentor and tutor Gordon Higginson. He was rigorous in his demands for high standards and would make Mavis work very hard to meet his expectations.
She has continued to take this approach with the thousands of students’ she has trained and many have gone on to become fantastic mediums themselves.
Experienced mediums now call upon Mavis to take “Master classes” as they are aware that she has more experience and understanding than most.
She was one of the first people to work at the Arthur Findlay College when it opened in the late 60s and it has been her spiritual home since. She eventually became the senior tutor at the College and ran and organised many courses.
Nowadays she is happy to work on those organised by others, she is just as happy taking beginners classes as the advanced, she loves lecturing and working with trance, table tilting and using the trumpet. In her early days she experienced a wonderful array of physical phenomenon which are very rare today.
Mavis teaches all over the world and has to guard her diary because she is in such demand but she never tires of the actual work.
